Star Trek: Khan 'Magical Thinking' needs to be adapted into a TV episode (and this is why)

Marla’s phaser, the Ceti eel queen, and Khan and Marla’s wedding make “Magical Thinking” a natural fit for a visual Star Trek story.

6. Conclusion

“Magical Thinking” works because it gives Marla real agency, challenges Khan’s belief that control solves every problem, and shows a colony trying to become a community.

Marla killing the Ceti eel queen and Khan marrying her would provide two memorable moments for a streaming adaptation: one built around survival, the other around commitment.
