Trekkies, watch March Madness for FREE on this website, but only for a limited time.
FanSided is all about everything related to entertainment and sports. In that spirit, and for every and all the Star Trek fans who love watching college basketball, Redshirts Always Die proudly reports that a free preview of the 87th NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament can be streamed on the following website: March Madness Live.
The free preview lasts approximately one hour, and then the website will prompt you to sign into either Paramount+ or your cable provider. However, if you're a Star Trek fan, you likely already subscribe to Paramount+, which is the home of all Trek's best series and films.
Currently, on the first full day of coverage, Trekkies can catch all the morning games which leads off with No. 8 Ohio State against No. 9 TCU and No. 4 Nebraska (CBS/Paramount+) vs. No. 13 Troy (tru TV/HBO Max) at 12 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. ET respectively.
As an avid fan of March Madness and Star Trek, my personal pick for today is the matchup between No. 4 Arkansas and No. 13 Hawaii, which tips off at 4:25 p.m. ET (TBS/HBO Max).
John Calipari’s Razorbacks (26-8 overall | 13-5 SEC) squad is my sleeper pick to make the Final Four. Led by freshman sensation Darius Acuff Jr., the Hogs and 2026 SEC Tournament champions will make quick work of Hawaii’s Rainbow Warriors faster than Captain Kirk breaks the Prime Directive.
Another game of note worth watching on the first full day of March Madness coverage (March 19) is the overall No. 1 seed Duke against No. 16 Sienna at 2:50 p.m. ET, which is available on Paramount+.
However, don’t look for the Blue Devils to stumble and fall against the Saints. In the history of the men’s NCAA tourney, only two No. 16 seeds have ever beaten a top-rated team: UMBC defeated Virginia in 2018 and FDU defeated Purdue in 2023.
Trekkies with Paramount+ (premium plan) don't have to pay to see the Big Dance this year, unless they want to watch EVERY SINGLE game. In that case, you will also need access to HBO Max, at the very least, which streams the TBS, TNT, and truTV matchups not covered by CBS.
However, check out the March Madness Live preview before you stream your favorite games scheduled for this year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Which team is your favorite to cut down the nets this April? Share your picks with us on the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages.
Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
