The Masked Singer is about to go full Star Trek, but which celebrity panelist pulled off the best cosplay? Each episode of the wild competition show has a celebrity dressed in an elaborate costume singing with a panel trying to figure out who they are. And the show has been a hit in part thanks to its outlandish costumes and the audience trying to unravel the mystery singer's identity.
Season 14 will feature a Star Trek night to celebrate the sci-fi franchise's 60th anniversary. And thanks to TrekMovie.com, the panelists cosplays have been revealed ahead of the show, which includes Jenny McCarthy as Yeoman Janice Rand, Robin Thicke as Captain Christopher Pike, Rita Ora as Seven of Nine, and Ken Jeong as Mr. Spock. It looks like a fun collection, but who pulled off the best Star Trek cosplay? Here's the Redshirts Always Die ranking.
4. Ken Jeong as Mr. Spock
Ken Jeong is a funny guy, but his attempt to play the famed Vulcan is seriously lacking. The wig looks awful with the pointed ears drooping a bit too much, and Jeong's would-be stoic expression instead comes off as old and tired. There’s also how the blue shirt looks less like a Starfleet uniform and more like a second-rate sweater you’d buy at a thrift shop. Granted, the comedian isn’t going to play this seriously, but it’s still an awful look.
