Michael Westmore always had talented makeup artists to look up to. His grandfather and uncles were prominent in Hollywood, working on set in a variety of genres, including horror and sci-fi. His uncle, Bud Westmore, infamously took credit for the design of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. However, horror fans know that it was actually Milicent Patrick who created the iconic Gill-man design of the classic Universal Monster.

Michael Westmore began his iconic work in the Star Trek franchise with The Next Generation, and as a big fan of the series, it's gratifying to see so many actors from the series speaking with him about his career and time on Next Gen.
