Boldy revisit three classic Trek movies for no charge.

Star Trek fans can always rely on Paramount+ as their go-to source when it comes to all the movies, television and streaming series the science fiction franchise has to offer, minus Prodigy, which I hope is rectified in the future. However, for those who don’t pay to subscribe to the streaming service, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock will all be free to stream on Tubi starting Wednesday, July 1.

Personally, I wish The Voyage Home was included for free on Tubi that way those who are new to the fandom could enjoy what I believe is the franchise's best trio of films (constituting the Genesis Trilogy), which includes The Wrath of Khan, The Search for Spock, and the aforementioned Voyage Home. All three movies are must-sees with Star Trek II and III being two of my favorite Treks of all time — I can’t recommend them enough, especially watching them back to back.

Now, 2026 does mark the 60th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise, and I know there are a lot of people looking for unique ways to mark the stellar occasion. If that’s the case, and you’ve never seen The Wrath of Khan, I recommend watching it in person first alongside an audience packed with zealous Trekkies and Trekkers. And, as it turns out, the classic film is being screened for the public later this year and James T. Kirk himself, William Shatner, will be on hand.

However, you’ll have to wait until October, if you want to make the trek to watch The Wrath of Khan in person and meet Shatner after the movie. The following are the locations and showtimes for the special Shatner screenings, courtesy of the actor’s official Instagram account:

Wednesday, October 28: The Orpheum Theater in Madison, Wisconsin (7:30 p.m. local time)

Thursday, October 29: The Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, IL (7:00 p.m.)

Friday, October 30: The Old National Centre in Indianapolis, IN (7:30 p.m.)

Saturday, October 31: The Louisville Palace in Louisville, KY (7:30 p.m.)

Sunday, November 1: MGM Northfield in Northfield, OH (7:30 p.m.)

Do you plan on attending any of The Wrath of Khan screenings this fall? Share your thoughts and comments with us on Star Trek II and the franchise’s other films via the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages. Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
