Most Trekkies are sure to already be excited about the Star Trek float being featured in the 2026 Rose Bowl Parade on New Year's Day, and we now know which Trek celebrities will be in attendance for the festivities taking place in Pasadena.

TrekMovie.com reveals some truly exciting news about the float's celebrity passengers, including a Trek legend! Yes, the iconic George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu throughout The Original Series, the TOS movies, and most recently in the Star Trek: Khan podcast, will be in attendance. Now 88 years old, Takei is passionate about several civil rights causes and one of the three remaining original cast members, along with William Shatner and Walter Koenig.

Fans of other Star Trek franchises like Strange New Worlds and Discovery are in for plenty of excitement as well, as other celebrity passengers include Rebecca Romijn from SNW, the hilarious and well-loved Tig Notaro from Discovery, and Karim Diane from the upcoming Starfleet Academy series. With this many Star Trek actors appearing, the viewership for the parade is sure to rise faster than a class M planet's moon!

'Space for Everybody'

The float's theme, which is "Space for Everybody," will include some familiar backdrops and iconic tech from the franchise, including the transporter, which definitely revolutionized the idea of future transport options and Vasquez Rocks, where Captain Kirk grappled with the Gorn captain in The Original Series episode "Arena." And, of course, it wouldn't be a party without the Enterprise bridge, the design of which is immediately recognizable and so beloved by us fans of TOS.

It's a theme that brings all the series from the franchise together and reminds us that the Star Trek universe is not a chain, but a living sphere that promotes concepts of togetherness and acceptance again and again.

As a fan of multiple Star Trek series, it will be gratifying to see so many different actors aboard next year's float on New Year's Day, although someone could ring up Scott Bakula for some Star Trek: Enterprise representation. And frankly, I'd love to hear him sing "Where My Heart Will Take Me" to start my year off on a beautiful and positive note.

Are you marking your calendars for this very special Trek event on New Year's Day? Which celebrity are you looking forward to seeing the most? There's sure to be plenty of excitement for everyone as this kicks off the 60th anniversary celebration of Star Trek.
