This year's Rose Parade was a stellar event despite the weather, and many Star Trek fans braved the rain to see some of the franchise's actors aboard the "Space for Everybody" float, including the legendary George Takei who sat in the captain's seat. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy actor Karim Diane, who plays Klingon cadet Jay-Den Kraag on the upcoming series, gave fans a fantastic peek behind the scenes as he posted about the festivities on his Instagram page. Diane said:

"Over a hundred Star Trek fans came out to volunteer to build the float," which "was completely made out of organic material." Other than Diane and Takei, the other Trek passengers included Tig Notaro, and I'm looking forward to her return as Jett Reno. Rebecca Romijn also came out to represent the franchise in style! Be sure to check out Diane's BTS video in its entirety below.
