Welcome back for another Star Trek: Scouts recap!
As "Asteroid Blasters No. 3" opens, Roo and JR are practicing galactic martial arts by breaking 3D holocubes, and Sprocket eventually joins in. He extends his bionic arm, breaking all the cubes and setting a new record. The game is then interrupted when the astro-alarm sounds!
Sprocket tells the others that an asteroid is heading for their school, and JR encourages his friends to work together as they take their stations to defeat this threat. Their intergalactic pet pals, Zips, Bubbles, and Star join them.
The chalk asteroid is from the Omega Sidewalk sector. JR asks Roo to activate the asteroid deflector wheel, which gives the Scouts a few different choices to push the asteroid off its current path and protect the school. The deflector chooses a paper airplane, but after its launch, it simply collapses when it strikes the asteroid! Oh no!
The Scouts are disappointed at the airplane's failure, but they don't give up! They use the asteroid deflector wheel again, and this time it chooses a box of crayons, but they're missing! Bubbles nods to Sprocket, who used the crayons to make drawings of his friends. JR is especially happy with his portrait, but Roo reminds them that the asteroid will arrive in one minute!
The Scouts now have only two more choices: a slimy cat hairball (yuck) or a hammer! They choose the hammer, which breaks the chalk asteroid into dust, resulting in a beautiful fireworks show! JR, though, is still admiring his new portrait. Maybe Sprocket's mind wasn't on the assignment, but making his friends something special with the crayons sure was kind.
