Hello again, fellow Scouts! It's time for another adventure with JR, Roo, and Sprocket, in an exciting "Holodeck Rescues" episode of Star Trek: Scouts.
This outing finds the Scouts facing their feline foe, Shadowtrix, who is forcing a baby Horta to dig for treasure as she seeks the powers of a mystic moon pearl! JR, Sprocket, and Roo waste no time and jump into action.
When Shadowtrix spots the Scouts, she reacts angrily and tells them to stay out of her business, as if she weren't using that poor Horta for her selfish gain.
Shadowtrix then shoots a green beam that turns into sticky, slimy goo, trapping the Scouts! Fortunately, Sprocket's bionic arm is ready and able to save the day. He turns on its vacuum mode and cleans up the green goo, freeing them all!
In the meantime, the Horta's hard work pays off for Shadowtrix as it eats through moon rock and reveals the Mystical Moon Pearl!
Shadowtrix tries to shovel it out of the rock, which causes a "moonshake," but she refuses to quit digging. The next strike of Shadowtrix's shovel creates a huge crack on the moon's surface, which causes her and the Horta to fall into a huge trench!
The Scouts rush to the edge to find the Horta hanging onto a rock outcrop, and Shadowtrix hanging onto the Horta.
Shadowtrix cries for their help, but when Sprocket lifts her and the Horta with his portable tractor beam, she spies the moon pearl below and then yells at the Scouts to put her down. Bad kitty!
JR tells Shadowtrix that going near the trench isn't safe, but she dives in, unable to resist the power of the pearl. She rises up with it in her hand a moment later, seemingly successful, until the hungry, hungry Horta jumps up and snatches it away!
Despite Shadowtrix's demand to drop the pearl, the rock eater gobbles the pearl down and burps with satisfaction! Looks like Shadowtrix is one foiled feline as she shouts in anger at her defeat.
