Something good came out of Star Trek: Section 31

I think it’s wonderful that something good came out of Paramount Plus’ much-maligned Section 31. Both critics and audiences bashed on the streaming movie, which is reflected by its terrible scores on Rotten Tomatoes: 24 percent on the Tomatometer (critics) and an even more depressing 16 percent Popcornmeter rating, formerly the RT audience score.

Section 31 was very hard to watch, in terms of storytelling. Fortunately, though, the streaming film’s make-up effects caught the attention of and impressed the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild, which is, as Smart Hulk said in Avengers: Endgame, “an absolute win.”

Simply put, Section 31 is the one Star Trek movie I can’t recommend in good conscience, unless you’re an uber fan of Michelle Yeoh. However, even the Academy Award-winning talent can’t save this trainwreck. What a waste of a Mirror Universe character. Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
