Yes, Deidre Hall’s long-awaited arrival is happening in Strange New Worlds.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 is boldly tackling yet another genre, but this time the crew of the USS Enterprise is going all “sands through the hourglass” for the show’s take on the age-old soap opera. And who better to guest star in SNW S4’s seventh episode, “Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass,” than the queen of daytime drama: Deidre Hall.
Check out the footage below from Strange New Worlds' seventh episode, courtesy of Paramount+ Mexico's Instagram, and fans can see Hall show up at the tail end of the teaser trailer. Hall’s character, whoever she might really be, is sharing a scene with Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) on four viewscreens just as Trelane (Rhys Darby) says, “And credits.”
Yes, Strange New Worlds' nod to the soap opera world also features the return of the mischievous Trelane and the first full appearance of Spock’s half-brother Sybok, although again like in SNW season 1, fans cannot see his face. Now, as far as Hall’s involvement is concerned in “Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass,” the actress teased her future Trek back in November 2025.
Hall said during the interview, “Ask me what I play on Star Trek… It’s not who, it’s what!” While outwardly, Hall’s character appears to be a psychiatrist, I wonder if she is in fact portraying either another member of the Q continuum or a guise of Trelane himself.
What did you think of the footage from Strange New Worlds seventh episode of season 4? Are you as excited as I am for Deidre Hall’s appearance in “Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass,” which is a clever take on her soap opera, Days of Our Lives, opening voiceover: “Like sands through the hourglass…”
