“That particular episode, actually, is one of my favorites.”

Paul Wesley and Ethan Peck joined co-stars Rebecca Romijn and Celia Rose Gooding in Mexico City for the 2026 Comic Con Experience (CCXP) to promote Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 and unveil the show’s teaser trailer. And Peck couldn’t help but tease “a really fantastic horror episode,” which is on the horizon.

“You saw Kirk screaming and closing doors, that’s from that episode,” Peck said (per TrekMovie.com) in regard to the footage featured in the Strange New Worlds teaser. And, as it turns out, Peck’s co-star Wesley referred to the season 4 horror installment as one of his “favorites.”

“I love this season,” Wesley added during the same sit-down. “It’s going to be very intense as we explore a little bit of Kirk’s past and some of the demons that are haunting him.”

The Strange New Worlds teaser also gave away what is likely another scene from the horror episode Peck and Wesley touted. In the footage, Star Trek fans will notice that La’an Noonien Singh (Christina Chong) is sitting in the dark — and then a zombie hand gently grasps the Enterprise crew member’s shoulder!

In addition to being a lifelong Trekkie, I love horror! So, I’m particularly excited about the episode Peck and Wesley teased at CCXP. One of my favorite episodes from The Original Series is season 2’s “Wolf in the Fold,” in which the crew of the USS Enterprise go up against none other than Jack the Ripper!

I don’t know if the SNW horror episode will live up to “Wolf in the Fold,” or some of my favorite macabre stories from The Next Generation, but I can’t wait to see it when season 4 drops this July on Paramount+.
