4. Conclusion
“Level-Five Transporter Accident” is one of the strangest experiments Strange New Worlds has attempted, but it has a clear emotional purpose.
The Enterprise crew did not really become puppets, and Spock did not really kiss puppet T’Pring, but the nightmare reveals why he needs to stop treating chaos as proof that he has failed.
The final joke, Scotty leaving Little Ricky in Spock’s quarters after he wakes, ensures the episode still ends on exactly the right note: Spock may understand his fears better, but the Enterprise will never stop being weird.
