Conclusion

My favorite part of the episode, outside of the big three Star Trek: Deep Space Nine characters returning, is how SAM (Brooks) made Benjamin Sisko’s gumbo recipe for her friends which was a huge crowd pleaser… especially when compared to the replicator food they usually consume.

Unfortunately, SAM — a photonic hologram — couldn’t partake of the delicious dish, but Jay-Den’s (Diane) reaction, “My mouth is on fire,” was priceless. Have you watched the fifth episode yet? Which of the Deep Space Nine characters did you enjoy seeing return the most? Share your thoughts and comments with us on the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages.

Also, here is Benjamin Sisko's brief voice cameo from the end of the episode: “Divine laws are simpler than human ones, which is why it takes a lifetime to be able to understand them. Only love can understand them. Only love can interpret these words as they were meant to be interpreted.”

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
