9. Jay-Den Kraag
A Klingon in medicine? Nonsense! Jay-Den Kraag is as rigid and disciplined as any Klingon we have ever been introduced to in Star Trek. However, contrary to other Klingons, Kraag appears to be a pacifist, refusing to engage in any violent behavior.
Kraag fits in well with the band of misfits this series seems to be leaning into. He does not exude the warrior mentality of others within his race. As such, he must find his way with a new tribe of people at the academy. His ranking at No. 9 is due to a lack of focus on him to this point. However, the potential for serious depth from Kraag is high, especially with the Klingons playing such a large role in episode 4, "Vox in Excelsio."
