Commanding instead of firing phasers

There is one classic Star Trek fantasy Holly Hunter hasn’t checked off her bucket list yet: firing a phaser. When asked if she gets to use one on the show, Hunter admitted she didn't. As a high-ranking authority figure, her character delegates the action rather than taking the shot herself.
Hunter joked that she hasn’t fired a phaser “yet” and probably shouldn’t even admit that on camera, but she would love the chance. Laughing, she was told to get it written into her contract, underscoring how much fun she is clearly having discovering this new corner of the Star Trek universe, even if joining it initially felt a little intimidating.
