10. Caleb and Anisha Mir
In many ways, the relationship between Caleb and his mother, Anisha, is the driving force for SFA’s first season. They’re both linked by Nahla Ake sentencing Anisha to prison and Caleb spending years searching for her.
That gets Caleb and the Academy in trouble, inviting Nus Braka into their nest. However, Caleb refuses to give up on his mother, risking his life and career to find her. He knows it's an almost impossible task but refuses to give it up.
Anisha’s on-screen time is small but compelling thanks to the performance of Tatiana Maslany. She portrays a woman who doesn’t trust easily but still loves her son, as he continues to attend Starfleet and become a better man. Their reunion was powerful, proving that the bond between a mother and child can’t be broken, no matter the century.
