6. Tarima Sadal and Caleb Mir
It was obvious from their first scene together that Caleb Mir and Tarima Sadal were going to hook up. The chemistry between them was off the charts. The show didn’t waste time as they became a couple pretty quickly, despite a rough start.
Caleb was able to break through Tarima’s barriers, letting her see more beyond her homeworld of Betazed. Tarima didn’t need her telepathy to know Caleb was more concerned about his private quest for his mother, yet the Betazoid still connected to him. Even when they were at different schools, Caleb and Tarima couldn’t help getting together.
Tarima’s ordeal at the hands of the Furies shook things up, though, with her becoming angrier and thinking Caleb didn't want her anymore. For his part, Caleb showed maturity in seeing Tarima as a person rather than an object.
Tarima still went with Caleb on his search for his mother, with the pair confessing they loved each other, which didn't feel rushed at all. SFA season 2 should shine a spotlight on this relationship, as this was one teen romance on Trek that felt real.
