Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set to arrive on Paramount+ in January, featuring a new cast alongside some familiar faces. Paul Giamatti, who will play the antagonist Klingon/Tellarite Nus Braka, appeared at the CCXP event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and spoke about the amazing transformative makeup he wears in the series. Turns out, Giamatti actually enjoyed wearing the alien makeup, which he told the panel audience (via TrekMovie.com):

“I like wearing that stuff. It makes you feel totally different. I look kind of like a Klingon. I look kind of like a pig, and it’s fantastic. They let me have a lot to say in the character. And he’s got these steel things on his hands from all these different alien cultures.”

The video above features the transformation, and Giamatti enjoyed watching the show's makeup artists and never once got bored, despite the time it takes to complete the look for his character. (Continued...)
