Yes, Melissa Navia was excited to be representing the Trek family at the Starfleet Academy premiere, particularly since it was being held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
Navia reminded those watching that season 5 of Strange New Worlds has officially wrapped, and that she is "a little exhausted," but the actor was still delighted to be a part of Starfleet Academy’s launch. Plus, the new show's cadets undoubtedly admire those who came before them at the Academy, like Ortegas. "I feel like they look up to our characters," Navia added.
