Starfleet Academy's '300th Night' is way better than its low rating (and this is why)

6.7 out of 10 stars doesn't do director Jonathan Frakes' episode justice.

5. 'Always running'

The rating for "300th Night" is tied for the second-highest of the season with "Come, Let's Away," but it's still far too low. The actors who portray the cadets had some truly fantastic moments, such as during the turbolift scene where Caleb Mir (Sandro Rosta) and Tarima Sadal (Zoe Steiner) meet unexpectedly and must share a ride.

After an awkward moment, Caleb says he's glad to run into Tarima, and they banter for a bit before he says he has a list of topics he's come up with in the event he ran into her. Tarima replies with an air of amused acceptance of their situation and shared past, and Caleb says he'll get to work on a new list.

Tarima smiles and replies, "Always running... you," along with a lament that she can read Caleb all too well. His response, "Me, too," is an indicator that she's the one person who can easily see what he hides from others.
