Starfleet Academy's '300th Night' is way better than its low rating (and this is why)

6.7 out of 10 stars doesn't do director Jonathan Frakes' episode justice.

3. Caleb steals a shuttle

If there's one thing you can count on, it's that if you're watching a Star Trek series, someone is going to eventually steal a shuttlecraft. From The Original Series to Starfleet Academy, shuttlecrafts are stolen or "borrowed" by thieves, pranksters, hippies, and other assorted aliens. In this instance, it's Caleb who helps himself to a shuttle.

We also get that great, "I'm coming with you to Ukeck," moment when SAM (Kerrice Brooks) pops in and tells Caleb he can't go it alone. Darem Reymi (George Hawkins) and Genesis Lythe (Bella Shepard) also end up on the craft, as they find themselves on their way to Ukeck with him when Caleb fires up the shuttle and heads off to find his mother.

I love how stubborn they all are when it comes to helping their friend, especially SAM, and it's a franchise touchstone we can all appreciate. Fans are also treated to Darem's controversial glitter vomiting once again in this scene.
