While some of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’s episodes have lower ratings, controversy notwithstanding, there are still many good things to find in each of them. With that in mind, the following are five reasons that the episode ‘Come, Let’s Away' is way better than its 6.7/10 IMDb rating.

1. Starfleet Academy & the War College unite

The Academy and War College cadets are split into teams, with a twist! Our rival cadets are paired up into mixed teams to test their might!  We see Caleb, SAM, Jay-Den, B'Avi, and Kyle make up the main team going onto the Miyazaki.

From the start they are an interesting group, with a variety of skills, strengths, and weaknesses. It’s nice seeing a different group dynamic than some of the previous episodes that focused more on the core circle of Academy characters.

The rival school dynamic causes great character moments and interactions throughout the episode. A great example of this is when Jay-Den assists Kyle in dressing his wounded leg, making a joke about Kyle being so tough that he must have some Klingon blood in him.
