3. Tarima Sadal

We also learn several key character details during "Come, Let's Away." Let’s start with the most dramatic: Ocam Sadal reveals the reason his sister Tarima wears a neural inhibitor. He explains that when she was a child she blasted out her fathers auditory system. It caused her father’s deafness, and the experience deeply traumatized her.

Tarima's fears all stem from this incident and forever changed how she lived her life. Due to the stakes of the episode she pushes herself to project into Caleb’s mind so she can pass along vital information.

Later, Tarima even removes her implant, a potentially deadly move, to help save the lives of Caleb and the others. To do this she lets loose a kind of telepathic scream that kills this episode’s baddies, the Furies. Finally! A Betazoid showing why the other species are wary of their kind.
