With the first season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy in the bag, it’s time to look back on how the season unfolded. It’s a bit bittersweet given that we know there won’t be a third season, and so the series now screams out “unfulfilled potential.” Granted, a few Trek shows need a bit of time to find their footing, but strangely, it seems the pressure was greater for SFA to be an excellent show from the start.
Ranking the episodes is a bit easier, given there were only 10 of them. Even the poorer episodes have something to entertain fans, and the best ones are top-tier Trek. From worst to first, the following is how each episode of the first season of Starfleet Academy ranks as a reminder that this show really deserved far more years to make its mark on Trek lore.
