This is the most out-of-place episode of the season. On paper, a “prank war” between the Academy and the War College sounds fun, yet it doesn’t quite land.

It’s a bit much to think a Vulcan College member is behind pranks like transporting the cadets around the Academy, and the conflict between Darem Reymi and Genesis Lythe for leadership lacks the depth to be believable despite how the two actors are giving their all in the parts.

Nahla Ake’s own rivalry with the War College chancellor is intriguing, and it's a nice touch that Ake secretly encourages the students to fight back as a lesson. The final scene is pure slapstick and feels more displaced given the tone of subsequent episodes. Despite some attempts at bonding the characters, this story doesn’t quite land as well as others, so it easily falls to the worst of the season.
