3. Jett Reno & Lura Thok: the best couple in the galaxy
Jett Reno (Tig Notaro) and Lura Thok (Gina Yashere) are the best couple in space since The Orville's Bortus and Klyden!
While this scene includes them as a framing device for Genesis and Caleb to avoid getting busted chasing the warp slug they accidentally set free, the two of them have great chemistry. However, you only see Reno and hear Lura shouting in the background, while Reno treats a toe she likely broke when testing an impact door.
The best moment of this scene is Lura Thok going from argumentative to telling Reno over the communicator, "I can't live without you! Are you there? Don't die!" But there is no change in her curt tone as Reno phases her out to pull off her boot and heal her swollen toe. It's like she's been through this with her partner a million times before.
These two deserve a web-series spinoff!
