Starfleet Academy's 'Ko'Zeine' is way better than its low rating (and this is why)

SFA episode 7 fell flat with many viewers, but it deserves far better than its low rating.

2. Jay-Den's Ko'Zeine speech

While it's true Jay-Den's way of speaking isn't always what one might expect, the beautiful, impassioned best man speech he makes to Darem and Kaira is woven in Klingon culture.

Jay-Den applies concepts such as honor and duty to Darem (and there's even a "needs of the many" vibe here), which is in keeping with Jay-Den's character.

One of the chief complaints from viewers and critics about Jay-Den Kraag is the sound of his voice and that he supposedly doesn't talk like a Klingon.

It's unclear why some fans expect a modern Klingon, whose species is almost extinct at this point, to act and speak like a TOS-era Klingon. Wow, it's almost like some of these critics never even watched the show!
