Starfleet Academy's 'Ko'Zeine' is way better than its low rating (and this is why)

SFA episode 7 fell flat with many viewers, but it deserves far better than its low rating.

1. Darem & Kaira's conversation after the wedding

While watching this scene, I kept thinking to myself, "This is like if T'Pring hadn't been such a snobby Vulcan witch!" Many of the themes are the same, but Kaira is much gentler. For example, she didn't make Jay-Den fight Darem to the death like in The Original Series episode, "Amok Time."

Kaira knew Darem couldn't truly love her and take his rightful place as Khionian law dictated. Despite Darem's declarations of love, she knew his true heart and refused to be the wife of a man whose passions and dreams would lead him elsewhere.
