2. Character development
While Leon and Syrrik's relationship seems to be at the tail end of the frenemy zone now, at least to the readers, it's Leon who insists to his family and friends that cooking for Syrrik isn't anything more than to prove a point about real versus replicated food.
Leon still struggles to admit anything other than being nice by using sarcasm, at one point blushing and shouting, "Someone call Jato and lock me up! Nice alert!" I could almost hear the angst in his tone, buried under all that sarcasm.
Melendez's writing is creatively driving Leon's character growth, especially regarding his feelings toward Syrrik, in way that only the readers can ascertain, at the moment. However, everyone else in Leon's on-page life is still baffled at what's happening here in episode 10.
Also, the panel where Churi is testing Leon's cooking as Kenga chokes out her friend in the background, anime style, got another laugh out of me!
