3. Storytelling

Stargazers writer Jarrett Melendez has an amazing talent for pacing and knows when to draw a scene out with its dialog and when to make it a bit tighter.

This technique keeps me hooked, and I'm never bored. Melendez is also adept at giving enough time to both the main and the secondary stories going on and doesn't allow the characters to ramble, which is a common pitfall when it comes to storytelling.

One of the best examples in this chapter is when MeeMee tells the friend group about Jato's pants, and they all pause for several panels because Churi knows about the kiss and Kenga and MeeMee don't.

This gives both of them time to catch up with the vibe before Leon admits to them that he and Syrrik kissed. The pacing increases as they all discuss Jato and Syrrik. I chuckled at MeeMee's, "Well?! Dish! Tell us everything!"

MeeMee loves when someone spills the tea. At the end of this episode, Syrrik finally shows up and asks, "Leon, can we talk?" Another episode cliffhanger, and you can bet that we'll be back for more when we look into the next chapter.
