2. Artwork
Much like other episodes of Stargazers featuring interactions between Syrrik and Leon, the artwork in this episode zooms in on both characters quite a bit.
Additionally, the continued display of the two in childhood form, courtesy of anime's beloved chibi style in this particular installment, as they converse, speaks to their past relationship as children that is reemerging now in young adulthood.
The continual bright backgrounds contrast against the two’s dark clothing, making their expressions pop. The brightness of the entire set speaks to the tone this young adult story is taking.
Outside of Jato, this is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky story about two young men figuring out life in real time. Their moods continue to brighten as they come closer together, and the artwork is fully reflective of that.
