Most digital artists would probably tell you that it's difficult to put heart into the medium, but the Kisai Entertainment team of artists uses a variety of styles in this Stargazers episode 15 to let us know exactly what our characters are thinking.
My favorite panel in this episode is Kenga giving the mysterious stray cat attention and saying, "Aww! Aren't you just the sweetest little thing!" Not only is she indeed the cutest space cat I've ever seen, but Alfie's expression in the background in this panel is priceless and gave me a good laugh.
Alfie is as jealous as a Ferengi with a rich relative and seems to be thinking, "What do you mean, the cutest thing? I'm right here!"
The artwork in this chapter also tells us that Jato continues to have a wild Mugato hair across his rear end about absolutely everything going on inside Deep Space 9: the talent show, the unusual space cat that showed up, and especially the moment when he sees Syrrik and Leon holding hands!
Jato's teeth clench, and he walks between the boys with such anger that it breaks their hold on each other with an all-caps "BHAM!" It's obvious that unlike his son, he isn't capable of or interested in change, nor does he seem to approve of Leon.
Also, I can't believe he arrested poor Gracie simply because she cared for the cat!
