The artwork of Stargazers episode 19 takes a backseat until Syrrik and Leon leave Zimmerman’s for their stroll. As they look out a window into the vacuum of space, the artwork lights up in a major way, seemingly to display the two’s affection for each other. This is particularly true when the two young lovebirds share another kiss.
Just as in other episodes of the young adult comic book series, the artwork takes a more sinister tone once Jato shows up. The stage is darker, with small white lines emanating off the screen to signify the distress Syrrik and Leon find themselves in.
Shadows become the dominating presence as Syrrik and Jato walk their separate ways. As readers, we are meant to feel the tension through the artwork, and there is no mistaking the negativity on the page.
