3. Storytelling
Stargazers episode 19 provides additional backstory on Syrrik that will certainly come full circle in later episodes.
This episode was a nice change of pace from the previous few installments, which placed a lot of the gang together. In these pages, the storytelling focus lies squarely on Leon and Syrrik, but that romantic date of theirs is too good to be true.
As with all good writers, Melendez's storytelling in this particular episode lulls readers into a false sense of security, and then the author turns everything upside by throwing Jato into the mix.
With a total of 40 Stargazers episodes, and over half of them still lined up for the future, several seeds are still being planted. Episodes like this are necessary for context, and when tensions eventually come to a head between Syrrik and his father, we will know why.
