3. Character development

The character growth in Stargazers episode 3 continues for most of the individuals we've met so far. We learn a lot about Ino during the meal he and Leon share at Zimmerman's. For instance, Ino reveals that he's never had non-replicated food or knows what a restaurant's daily special is.

It's also apparent that Ino gives not one jot of what anyone thinks of him when Syrrik tries to single Leon out for wearing makeup. Not only does he step in front of Leon in a protective stance when Syrrik tries to taunt him, but he also reads the other boy so hard that the normally arrogant (and wannabe Starfleet cadet) turns and leaves without uttering another syllable!

It's a great character element, and it's obvious that Ino has held this self-respect and self-confidence for many years.

That's all for now, Redshirt readers! Remember, you can catch new episodes of Stargazers every Sunday for free on WEBTOON. And in the meantime, check out our Facebook and X pages to share your thoughts and comments with us on episode 3.
