Stargazers episode 6 focuses more on Leon's relationships with his friends on the space station, which comes through in Cyrel W's brillinat artwork, whereas the previous installment highlighted the importance of family history and how Leon interacts with his parents. It's an amusing interlude where Churi, Leon, and Alfie take to the decks of Deep Space 9 to buy Alfie more treats, as the lovable French Bulldog can't go for long without his favorite snacks.
Alfie figures heavily in this episode, and his presence not only increases the cute factor but also highlights Leon's compassion and adoration for his pet. Alfie is probably the most spoiled dog in the quadrant, and the artwork for this chapter reflects it.
From Alfie's expression of pride when he operates the bark-activated doggy door Churi installed for him to growling at Syrrik's father, Jato — I hope this doesn't come back later to bite either him or Leon in the rear — Alfie is an extension of his loving owner who doesn't need dialog to let us know his moods, thanks to Stargazers' talented team of artists.
