2. Storytelling

While some detractors in the comment section of Stargazers episode 8 seem to think this story has nothing to do with Star Trek, they're either not reading past the surface or misunderstanding what it's truly about, which is Gene Roddenberry's vision for the future. I know, but hear me out. No matter the series, the writers have always used unique storytelling to create a universe fans connect with on different levels, and Stargazers is no different.

While there isn't much action in this chapter, it still reminds us of the Star Trek credo, Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations (IDIC) through its storyline. In episode 8, Stargazers characters putting on a talent show that anyone can participate in.

Leon and his friends don't exclude anyone from participating in the talent show, including Jato, Syrrik's stern father. I have to wonder what happened to Syrrik in this episode, though, and if he knows about the talent show by now.
