Star Trek mainstay emotionally reflects on Strange New Worlds ending

“Star Trek is much more than just a TV show.”

Star Trek cast and crew members continue to reflect on their time aboard the starship Enterprise as Strange New Worlds has officially wrapped filming in Toronto. Anson Mount, Celia Rose Gooding, Christina Chong, and Jess Bush have all signed off with emotional social media posts, and Chris Fisher is no different.

The SNW director and producer was definitely feeling the weight of the moment as he posted a lengthy Instagram video (below) from the bridge of the Enterprise set in Canada. Fisher said the following in the footage, which I’m sure all Trekkies will agree with wholeheartedly:

Fisher has served as a co-executive producer on Strange New Worlds from the very beginning back in 2022, and he sat in the director’s chair for two of the series’ best episodes: “A Quality of Mercy” and “Hegemony, Part II.” In the Instagram video he posted, Fisher reflects on just how much the franchise has meant to him over the years, and it’s hard not to get emotional as he discusses how much Star Trek informed the person he grew up to be personally and professionally.
