“This and Lower Decks is all we need to keep us Trek fans happy!”
Thankfully, the response to the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 official trailer has been overwhelmingly positive. Unlike the online hatemongering that undoubtedly helped Paramount Skydance and CBS Studios make the decision to cancel Starfleet Academy after its second season, the brand-new SNW footage is eliciting plenty of good vibes.
For instance, many social media users have praised the Strange New Worlds season 4 trailer. @AGENTRITEN wrote in the comments section on YouTube: “This and Lower Decks is all we need to keep us Trek fans happy!” Meanwhile, @Ghostviking69 kept it short and sweet by writing only two words: “Incredible trailer.” And @bungalowtomcat1 added: “BRING IT ON ❤❤😊😊😊😅😅”
“I've really enjoyed Strange New Worlds,” @lovelightdavid wrote. “I wish each season was longer!” It’s also clear from the comments that many fans, myself included, aren’t ready to say goodbye to Strange New Worlds after its fifth and final season. @danielmarinucci9342 wrote: “The only part I don't like is saying goodbye to the show. Like the immortal Charlie Brown said there's too many goodbyes in the world we need more hellos.”
Even with all the positivity surrounding the official trailer for Strange New Worlds season 4, I hope the number of views continue to climb. Although, since the fate of the show has already been decided, I suppose it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
Nonetheless, at the time of this writing, the SNW season 4 trailer has amassed just under 2 million views in the first two days, and comparatively, here are how the series’ other official trailers have fared over the years on YouTube:

It’s also worth noting that with all the controversy surrounding Starfleet Academy even that series’ official trailer received over 8.1 million views on YouTube. Hopefully, SNW season 4’s trailer can reach that number, but, sadly, it’s highly illogical that it will.
