“Today was the end of a 5 year mission for [SPOILER]…”

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 5 will mark the end of the USS Enterprise’s adventures under the command of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount). Luckily, Trekkies still have season 4 to look forward to at some point in 2026. For now, though, while it seems filming for the entire cast has not yet officially wrapped, the end of the line has come for actress Christina Chong’s La’an Noonien-Singh. Chong made the announcement on social media, which included a photo of her trailer with the name “La’an” tapped to it. The text on the post reads as follow via Instagram:

“Today was the end of a 5 year mission for La’an, and what an incredible one it was…” #la’an #strangenewworlds #startrek

Does this mean only Chong's character, La'an, has completed her time on SNW? Is this Instagram post carefully worded in a way that means the actress herself still has work to do on season 5 — as another character? (Continued...)
