One of the most wonderful aspects of technology is that our favorite Star Trek actors can take to social media and share bits of their lives and thoughts with us. Several upload content on social media to let us know what they're thinking, or they talk about what life is like as a Trek actor, including all the joys that come to them despite a grueling film schedule. Strange New Worlds actor Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike) did exactly this on Nov. 22, when he took to Instagram while waiting for a flight home.

Strange New Worlds season 5 is in the final days of filming, and Mount told his Instagram followers that his schedule had left him exhausted mentally, physically, and creatively. Mount was on the way home to see his family for a single day after leaving the SNW set at 11:30 p.m. only to have to be at the airport at 4 a.m.

Mount elaborated about the exhaustive schedule and that he felt blessed because it's a privilege to be exhausted by doing what he loves for a living. While the actor does appear quite drained, he was also smiling and letting his audience know that there is no greater feeling. Watch Mount's inspiring video below.

'Do you remember when you wanted what you have?'

At one point in the upload, Mount said he saw a sign in his travels that said, "Do you remember when you wanted what you have?" This is an arresting idea when it comes to living life with gratitude and feeling lucky and blessed when the things you want most come to you, not material things, but creativity, good health, the love of family and friends, not to mention the joy that comes with doing what you love every day. Mount acknowledges all of this, and for the creatives in his social media audience, this truly resonates.

Near the end of the video, Mount said that he has never been happier, even as filming on Strange New Worlds season 5 nears its end.

It's easy to identify with Mount when he talks about being exhausted by doing what you love. I've been a writer most of my adult life, even when I wasn't being paid for it, because it fills my soul in way that nothing else does. Meeting personal and professional goals, along with completing creative projects, is a feeling like no other!

At the time of this writing, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 and season 5 still haven't received official release dates. However, season 4 is a virtual lock to drop in 2026.
