Celia Rose Gooding breaks down Strange New Worlds’ wackiest episodes.

The press tour for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds continues to build momentum as the season 4 premiere is now just over two weeks away. And Celia Rose Gooding, who portrays the beloved character Nyota Uhura, took part in a brand-new interview in which she ranks SNW’s “Wackiest Moments,” including the upcoming episode that features the Captain Christopher Pike puppet.

Fans can watch the full TV Insider video of SNW’s “Wackiest Moments” ranked by Gooding below, but here are the episodes summarized based on a scale of 1 (least wacky) to 5 (most wacky). And Star Trek fans will immediately notice that the season 4 Pike puppet installment, which hasn’t even streamed yet, is by far and away No. 1.

1. (10/5!) The Pike puppet episode

2. (4.5/5): "Subspace Rhapsody" — the musical

3. (4.3/5): "A Space Adventure Hour" — the murder mystery

4. (3.8/5): "Those Old Scientists" — the Lower Decks crossover

5. (3/5): "The Elysian Kingdom" — the fairy tale

True to form, the good-natured Gooding wouldn’t give up any spoilers about the Pike puppet episode. However, the actress did ensure fans (per the same TV Insider sit-down): “That little [San Diego Comic-Con] teaser [featuring the Pike Muppet] is like 0.5 percent of just how insane that episode gets. I just did ADR for it yesterday, and it is wacky [laughs]!”

Personally, I think that Gooding’s assessment of these Strange New Worlds episodes’ respective wackiness factor is spot on, the season 4 Pike puppet story notwithstanding, which I have yet to see.

I'd also like to have seen "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans" make the cut, which I love, but I understand why since it isn't too far-fetched. Do you agree with Gooding’s wacky ranking? How about you? Share your choices with us on the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
