“Voyager’s standard shuttles were never meant for this meat grinder of a quadrant.”

The Star Trek: Voyager — Across the Unknown strategy game took flight back in February and has received mostly positive reviews since then. In May, the famed Delta Flyer update was added for the PC, and now the USS Voyager’s specially designed shuttlecraft is available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, plus the Xbox Series X and S.

Watch the Delta Flyer doing what it does best, which is featured in the announcement video courtesy of Daedalic Entertainment (below). It is flown by none other than Voyager’s own helmsman, Lt. Tom Paris and voiced once again by actor Robert Duncan McNeill.

For those who aren’t familiar with the game, Tim Russ also returns and lends his voice to the beloved Voyager character Tuvok once more, and the synopsis reads as follows (per Steam): “Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is a story-driven survival strategy game in which the fate of the iconic starship is in your hands. Take the helm, manage the ship and resources, and make difficult decisions. Will you be able to bring home the ship and its crew?”

I can’t recommend Voyager — Across the Unknown enough. However, this isn’t a video game you just plop down for an hour or two and casually play like NBA 2K. Star Trek fans will need to set aside plenty of time and make an afternoon or evening of it — most likely both — to enjoy the intricate strategy game.

If you’re interested in playing Voyager — Across the Unknown, Steam is running a sale for PC users. You must act quickly, though, because the 20 percent discount price of $27.99 ends later today (Monday, June 1) at 1 p.m. ET. This is for the regular version of the game, not the deluxe, and by comparison Across the Unknown costs more ($39.99) on the PS5 and Xbox.

However, the regular Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is also on sale ($31.99) — only $39.99 for the deluxe, which is a real steal — and those incredible prices don't end until Wednesday, June 10, at 2:59 a.m. ET.
