Set course for the Wolverine State, Trekkies!
The Motor City Comic Con is just around the corner, and another Star Trek actor is scheduled to join the fun in the Wolverine State. The iconic commander of the USS Enterprise, James T. Kirk himself, William Shatner is now setting course for three-day convention. The actor made the announcement on his official Instagram page, and he wrote the following on the social media post (below):
“I will be appearing at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday May 16, 2026, and Sunday May 17, 2026, at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi, MI.”
If you plan on attending this year’s Motor City Comic Con just to meet Shatner, please note that he will only be on hand at the convention Saturday, May 16, until 4:30 p.m. ET and on that Sunday until 4:15 p.m (per MCCC's official website).
A photo op with the acting legend and a premium autograph will run MCCC attendees $150 each. Regular autographs are less, at $120, while an inscription is only $30. And, as previously announced, four other members of the Star Trek franchise will also be on hand: Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Karl Urban, and Simon Pegg. And this is where Trekkies can really cash in on making memories.
Have you ever wanted the chance at a photo op with Captain Kirk, William Riker, and Commander Data? Well, fans can do just that while attending this year’s MCCC. For $260, Trekkies can capture their moment in time visiting Novi by getting their photograph taken with Shatner, Spiner, and Frakes!

The 2026 Motor City Comic Con runs Friday, May 15, through Sunday, May 17, at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace just outside Detroit in Novi, Michigan. For more information, please visit the MCCC official website.
Oh, like Shatner, Frakes will only be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday, while Spiner is booked for all three days. Do you plan on attending this year’s Motor City Comic Con? Let us know on the Redshirts Always die Facebook and X pages.
Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
