Star Trek: Lower Decks' final season is nearly upon us. The animated comedy has been around since 2019 and will call it a wrap with 50 episodes in the bag after five seasons. While not everyone's cup of tea, Lower Decks has found a fandom all its own within the Star Trek community—one that is solely and wholly their own.

Whatever you want to say about Lower Decks, they were their own thing in the Star Trek universe. Not only were they the second animated series in the franchise, but they were also the first fully intended comedy. They broke down some walls and looked beyond the metaphorical veil of the Star Trek franchise, looking at things far differently than franchise creator Gene Roddenberry ever thought would happen with this franchise.

They ruffled some feathers along the way, but like with Star Trek's Discovery and Picard, Lower Decks found a home for some fans. It wasn't the most popular series but it was a few peoples' absolute favorite. Now, with the series coming to an end, we encourage you to check out the series one last time and help the cast and crew go out on a high note.

If you're new to the series, we have some helpful notes you'll need to enjoy the franchise's final 10 episodes.
