New Women of Star Trek Stamps

The island of Tuvalu has released a new collection of postage stamps celebrating the women of Star Trek.

ICYMI: Earlier today someone hacked the popular Star Wars subreddit r/StarWars and gave it a Star Trek makeover.

If you want to mail a letter on the tiny Pacific island-nation of Tuvalu you can now do so using one of the women of Star Trek. The Trek Collective is reporting that Tuvalu is releasing an entire series of postage stamps featuring the women of Star Trek.

The stamps feature women from all the Star Trek series: Ensign Hoshi Sato from Star Trek: Enterprise, Lieutenant Nyota Uhura from Star Trek: The Original Series, Doctor Beverly Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Captain Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager, and Major Kira Nerys and Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Star Trek: Voyager’s Seven of Nine also got a stamp that was packaged separate for some reason.

Jeri Ryan who played Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager was excited to see the stamps, but also had some concerns about them.

It is weird that Marina Sirtis’ Counselor Deanna Troi would get left out of a collection of stamps featuring the women of Star Trek. You would think that Counselor Troi would be one of the first women you’d think about having on a stamp. Star Trek: Enterprise’s T’Pol played by Jolene Blalock is also absent from the collection.

Now if you want to grab the stamps without taking a trip to the island nation of Tuvalu you can do so here. You can also find more on this story at The Trek Collective.
