Leonard Nimoy made Spock into more than a charecter on a television show, he made him into a cultural icon. Nimoy and Spock were able to touch and inspire fans in a way few other actors can.

Now Nimoy’s son Adam is bringing together those who knew, loved, and were inspired by Leonard Nimoy to pay tribute to his father in a new documentary. Adam Nimoy’s documentary ‘For The Love Of Spock’ has been in the works for well over a year. The project was funded by a Kickstarter campaign in 2015.  The film premiered at the Tribeca film festival this past April.

The film is set to hit select theaters on September 9th, the day after Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary. Can you think of better way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek than going to see ‘For The Love Of Spock’?

If you can’t catch ‘For The Love Of Spock’ in theaters though don’t worry. The film will also be through on demand services.
