A tutorial on how to install the ‘Star Trek Armada III’ mod for the popular PC game ‘Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion.’
Star Trek Armada and its sequel Star Trek Armada II are considered by many Trekkies to be the best Star Trek video games ever. Now finally have a third installment of the Star Trek Armada series, but it;s not an official game…
Some very talented modders (people who modify other video games) have created a mod for the galactic conquest game Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that they are calling Star Trek Armada III. The developer’s diary video that was just released certainly looks very impressive.
The game has the look and feel of a Star Trek Armada game, and the features are everything you could have ever hoped for. Truly the game looks like a wonderful mix of Star Trek Armada and Star Trek: Birth of the Federation.
Here’s some fantastic gameplay footage.
The mod is ready to go and luckily the developers have even put out step by step instructions on how to install the game. So if you’re ready to dive into more Star Trek Armada adventures you can go to warp nine now.
The mod is still in the beta stage, which means it’s not entirely complete, but is ready for play and testing. It’s an undiscovered country in some ways, but surely you’re the kind of explorer that wants to boldly go.
