Wil Wheaton’s ‘Tabletop’ is back on YouTube

Wil Wheaton’s ‘Tabletop’ appears to be back on YouTube after experimenting with jumping to subscription service Alpha.

After jumping to subscription service Alpha it looks like Wil Wheaton’s board game show is jumping back to YouTube.

Wil Wheaton, who most Trekkies know as Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, hosts a wonderful web show called TableTop. TableTop is a “we play” YouTube show with a twist, instead of playing the latest first person shooter Wil and his guests play a board game.

I absolutely loved Tabletop and was excited when I heard that season 4 was on the way. The excitement however didn’t last as after only two episodes Tabletop jumped to subscription service Alpha. Geek & Sundry has every right to put their programing wherever they like, but it’s just not the kind of programing I’m going to pay for outside for YouTube.

The good news is that at least this episode appears to be back on YouTube.

In this episode Wil Wheaton and collection of celebrity pals play Monarch and attempt to convince the rest of the royals that they are the princess who should rule.

This show is so much fun, and it’s something I look forward to on YouTube each week. I really hope that this is a sign that the show has returned to YouTube to stay and isn’t going to leap back to Alpha. Perhaps we will even get the episodes we’ve been missing from Alpha over the next few weeks, that really would go a long way in rebuilding our love for Geek & Sundry.
